Erin Brown, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin Brown grew up all over South Dakota and received her bachelor and doctoral degrees from Iowa State University. (Go Cyclones!) Since graduating she has worked primarily in small animal medicine in several clinics around the Black Hills, you may even recognize her from her time spent at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital here in town! She has a special interest in emergency medicine, toxicology, and ultrasound. She shares her home with husband Kyle, children Ben and Molly, and cat Abe. She is our full-time veterinarian, and you can find her at MVAH every day of the week except Thursday. She enjoys rooting on her Iowa State Cyclones whenever she can and spending time cooking for her family and gardening.

Tami Bremer

Practice Manager

Tami grew up in Aberdeen but has called Rapid City her home for several years. She has always had a great love for animals but was hesitant to enter the field because she wasn’t sure if she could handle the sad/hard part of our jobs, but we’re so thankful she reconsidered because she has been our wonderful practice manger since 2015! She graduated from National American University in 2000 to become a veterinary technician and worked first at our sister clinic Canyon Lake as a registered veterinary technician for several years. Her favorite part of working at Mountain View Animal Hospital is helping pets who are so loved by their people and having an amazing team to help her do so! She loves all things sports, especially watching her daughter Syd play them. She also shares her home with her dogs Aspen and Tucker.

Kathy Svoboda, Registered Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician

Kathy was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado and lived all over the world as a military wife. Her love for animals grew on her grandparents’ farm helping them tend to their many animals. She became a registered veterinary technician in 2010 and enjoys client education and working closely with her MVAH coworkers. While living in Caribou, Maine she performed wildlife rehab on all sorts of critters which grew her special interest in physical therapy. You can often find her doing our laser therapy sessions here at the clinic! She shares her home with husband Jeff, dog Dew, 2 barn cats Maverick and Rumble, and has 2 children and 6 grandchildren!

Karin Parker, Registered Veterinary Technician

Karin was raised in Rapid City and showed a passion for caring for others at an early age, working for several years at a local nursing home. She graduated from National American University in 2012 to become a veterinary technician. Her favorite part of working at MVAH is creating lasting relationships with pets and their people and enjoys teaching clients about nutrition and weight management. Karin keeps our shelves and pharmacy stocked with everything we need to work with your pets! She loves all things outdoors: hiking, kayaking, camping, and takes her husband Jake and 2 dogs Coco and Spike with her on these adventures.
