Erin Brown, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin Brown grew up all over South Dakota, spending time in Buffalo, Vermillion, and Pierre; where she graduated from T.F. Riggs High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University, and also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State (Go Cyclones!). Since graduation she has practiced mainly small animal medicine at several clinics and some of you may recognize her from her time at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital.

Her interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, and ultrasound. At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle and son Benjamin, along with dog Nessie, cat Abe, and rat Ratigen. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and watching Iowa State Athletics.


Tami Bremer, RVT

Practice Manager

Tami graduated from National American University in 2000 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. Her role in veterinary medicine evolved over the years, and she became the Practice Manager of Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital. She joined the team at Mountain View Animal Hospital in November 2015, and thoroughly enjoys her role at both clinics.

Her varied interests outside the veterinary field include scrapbooking, crafts, photography, and swimming. Tami also enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog Aspen.


Kathy Svoboda, RVT

Veterinary Technician

Kathy enjoys being on staff at Mountain View Animal Hospital. She and her husband moved to Hermosa from northern Maine. They enjoy raising livestock animals in addition to horseback riding and traveling. Kathy graduated from Bel-Rae Institute of Animal Technology, Denver, Colorado in 1993.

Her time at home is spent playing with her Border Collie “Dew” and 2 cats, “Salem” and “Dibby”. Over the years, Kathy has had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful pets and “their people” and look forward to meeting more.


Karin Dahlquist, RVT

Veterinary Technician
​​Karin grew up in Rapid City and received her degree from National American University in 2012. She enjoys spending her summers hiking and camping in the Black Hills with her dog Gunny. Some of her other interests include sailing, bowling, and riding motorcycles.
